Connected and Automated Vehicles, or CAV, are vehicles that can communicate with their surroundings and use technology to help drive or operate.
The East Central Regional Development Commission was selected by MnDOT to participate in this pilot program to develop a CAV plan focused on northern Kanabec and Mille Lacs Counties. This process helps the community explore CAV technology in ways that reflect local needs.
