Child Care Economic Development Program Request for Proposals

The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), through its Child Care Community Partnerships Office, is seeking proposals from qualified responders to receive grants to be used to implement solutions to reduce the childcare shortage in the state including but not limited to funding for childcare business start-ups or expansion, retention of current child care programs, training, facility modifications, direct subsidies or incentives to retain employees, or improvements required for licensing, and assistance with licensing and other regulatory requirements.

Farm to School and Early Care Programs

Farm to School and Early Care programs support Minnesota school districts, early childhood education (ECE) centers, and family child care providers that want to buy and serve Minnesota agricultural products.

In fiscal year (FY) 2025, up to $1,051,875  is expected to be awarded to reimburse school districts, ECE centers, and family child care providers for buying Minnesota-grown and -raised foods used in federal meal programs.

Minnesota Grow Your Own Grant
Grow Your Own (GYO) programs are partnerships between educator preparation programs, school districts or charter schools, and community organizations that recruit and prepare local community members (e.g., parents, paraeducators, non-certified school staff, high school students) to enter the teaching profession and teach in their communities
